The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation (HDOT) has announced a temporary single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway at the Big Save Kapaʻa intersection. The closure is scheduled to occur from 11 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, until 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19.

This measure is necessary for the replacement of old traffic signal brackets to ensure the security of traffic signal heads. During this period, traffic will be managed through alternating access in the open lane.

To inform drivers about this temporary change, electronic signs will be installed in advance of the work. HDOT advises motorists to check their website for information on weekly lane closures across Kauaʻi.

For further details or inquiries, contact can be made with the HDOT Public Affairs Office via phone at 808-587-2160 or email at [email protected].
