EDA awards over $1 million in grants for economic development projects in Hawaii in 2023

In 2023, the Economic Development Administration (EDA) issued three grants totaling $1,106,000 to fund economic development projects in Hawaii.

This represents a 97.3% decrease from 2022, when the state received $40,990,648 in funding.

Hawaii ranked 45th across the U.S. in total EDA grant funding for 2023. South Carolina topped the list with $30,038,466 in funding across 14 grants.

Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii Authority received the largest EDA grant for funding an economic development project in the state, totalling $656,000.
