The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) has announced potential traffic delays on Piʻilani Highway, starting Monday, February 3. The delays are due to asphalt milling and paving work on Route 31.
To accommodate the road work between Kilohana Drive and Wailea ʻIke Drive, both northbound and southbound lanes will be shifted. However, one lane of traffic in each direction will remain open throughout the project.
The pavement work is scheduled from Monday, February 3 through Friday, February 7, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., depending on weather conditions.
Additionally, on Friday, February 7, the far-right lane in the northbound direction at the intersection of Alanui Ke Aliʻi Drive will be closed for paving work during the same hours. Despite this closure, one lane in the northbound direction will stay open.
HDOT urges drivers to "please obey all traffic controls and drive carefully around the workers."
