The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) has announced that highway users should anticipate traffic delays on Monday, March 31, due to scheduled asphalt repair work on Kaʻahumanu Avenue (Route 32) in Kahului.

The repair work will necessitate the closure of the left westbound through lane in front of The Maui Beach Hotel from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. This closure is related to the ongoing Maui Palms Hampton Inn project. Motorists traveling westbound on Kaʻahumanu Avenue will still have the option to turn left onto Kāne Street.

HDOT advises all motorists to pay attention to signs and traffic controls and to drive cautiously around the work area.
