Hawai‘i DOT announces lane closure for guardrail work in Lahaina

The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) has announced a lane closure at the intersection of Honoapiʻilani Highway and Kapunakea Street in Lahaina. This closure is necessary for guardrail work associated with the Kaiāulu o Kūkuʻia Affordable Housing project.

The southbound lane on Honoapiʻilani Highway will be closed from 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 6 until 1 a.m. on Friday, March 7. During this period, one lane in the southbound direction will remain open to traffic.

Drivers are advised to follow all signs and traffic controls and exercise caution around construction workers. HDOT will provide updates through their social media platforms on Facebook and X.
