No Citations or Arrests, Three Days Into Monk Seal Overwatch at Kaimana Beach
The Hawaiian monk seal Rocky and her pup (PO8), spent most of this morning in the water. By late morning they’d moved back onto Kaimana Beach to rest, prompting volunteers from Hawaii Marine Animal Response (HMAR) to again change-up their cordon, with ropes and signs to keep people back.

DOH reports monkeypox case in Maui County
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health (DOH) has identified one additional case of monkeypox. This brings the total number of cases in Hawaiʻi since June 3 to twelve. The individual is a Maui resident whose case is associated with travel outside of Hawaiʻi.
