The County of Maui announced on April 6 that water service will be temporarily interrupted in the area of Hue Place in Kahului for approximately six hours, starting at 9:50 a.m., due to emergency repairs.

The outage is expected to impact about ten residences and one hydrant or standpipe. This temporary disruption is necessary so that repair crews can address urgent issues affecting the water supply system.

According to the county, these types of outages are sometimes unavoidable when unexpected maintenance needs arise. Residents and affected parties are advised to plan accordingly during this period without water service.

No further details were provided regarding the cause of the emergency repairs or estimated completion time beyond the initial six-hour window. Updates may be issued if additional information becomes available.
