A water outage disrupted service in Central Maui, including the Kehalani and Wailuku areas, early on April 8. The incident began at about 1 a.m. and has affected several key locations such as Maui Memorial Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente, the Maui Police Department, Baldwin High School, the Maui War Memorial Sports Complex, as well as surrounding businesses and residents along Mahalani Street to Naniloa Drive and nearby neighborhoods.

The outage has caused inconvenience for both public facilities and private homes in the area. Essential services like hospitals and police departments are among those impacted by the disruption.

Repair crews are currently working to restore water service. Officials anticipate that normal service will return by noon today.
