Two EV chargers at Kahului Park & Ride to close temporarily for maintenance

The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) has announced that two of the four electric vehicle charging stations at the Kahului Park & Ride will be temporarily closed for maintenance on Saturday, August 23. The closure will take place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

According to HDOT, one EV charger is being replaced under warranty. The adjacent charger, which shares the same electrical system, will also be powered down during this time. Both chargers are expected to return to service by the end of the day.

The other two chargers at the site will remain available for use by EV drivers throughout the maintenance period.
