Traffic delays expected in Central Maui due to geotechnical work

The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) has announced potential traffic delays in Central Maui from March 10 to 14. Crews will be drilling for soil samples along state highways to assist in roadway maintenance and improvement.

On Monday, March 10, work will occur on the east side shoulders of the Haleakalā Highway (Route 37) and Hāna Highway (Route 36) intersections from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The department has confirmed there will be no lane closures during this period.

Further details about the schedule for Tuesday, March 11 through Friday, March 14 were not provided.
