Protesters flooded the Hawaii State Capitol in Honolulu yesterday, waving flags and carrying “Stop the Steal” signs.
There were reportedly hundreds at the peaceful event.
Protesters lined the road near the capitol building and waved American flags and Trump 2020 flags.
Across the country, protesters marched at their statehouses. In Minnesota, there were cheers when the Capitol news broke. In New Mexico, the state police had to evacuate staff as a precaution.
In Utah, Gov. Spencer Cox sent home hundreds of protesters. A small fight broke out in Ohio between pro-Trump demonstrators and counter-protesters. There was at least one person arrested in Oregon and a peaceful rally in Kansas had supporters filing into the statehouse through security checkpoints and walking around historical exhibits.
There were also protestors in South Carolina, but they left the statehouse before the attack occurred at the U.S. Capitol.
