The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) has announced overnight closures affecting portions of Keawe Street and Honoapi‘ilani Highway (Route 30) in Lahaina. The right turn lane from Keawe Street onto Honoapi‘ilani Highway at Lahaina Gateway will be closed starting at 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 4. The closure may last until 6 a.m. Friday, September 5, though the work is expected to finish earlier.

During this period, right turns will still be permitted from the through lane with assistance from flaggers as crews replace delineators at the intersection.

Additionally, there will be roving lane closures in both directions on Honoapi‘ilani Highway near the Fairway Shops in Ka‘anapali between 8 p.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday while roadway reflectors are replaced. At least one lane of traffic in each direction will remain open throughout the work.

Motorists are advised to follow all posted signs and traffic controls and to drive carefully around workers.

For updates or changes to the construction schedule, HDOT encourages checking their social media pages on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HawaiiDepartmentOfTransportation and on Twitter/X @DOTHawaii.
