The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) has announced upcoming full closures at the Meheula Parkway Interchange on O‘ahu for speed table installations. The closures are scheduled to take place over several nights beginning Monday, October 13.
Work will start on Monday, October 13, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., with the closure of the right lane on the southbound Meheula Parkway on and off-ramps for speed table installation. On Tuesday, October 14, the northbound off-ramp from Meheula Parkway to the H-2 Freeway will be closed during the same hours for further installation work. During this time, a lane shift will also occur along the southbound ramps to complete road striping in the area.
On Wednesday, October 15, a single lane will be closed on the northbound Meheula Parkway off-ramp to the H-2 Freeway from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for additional striping associated with the new speed table.
Special duty police officers will be present to assist with traffic control and safety procedures during these operations. Electronic message boards are being used to notify motorists about the planned closures. All scheduled work is dependent on weather conditions.
“HDOT thanks the public for its cooperation as we work to maintain safe facilities,” stated the department.
