The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation has announced that Kaʻahumanu Avenue in Kahului, Hawai‘i, will be closed on Saturday, June 21. The closure will occur between Lunalilo Street and Kahului Beach Road from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to accommodate the 2025 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pā‘ū Parade.

The parade is scheduled to start at 9:45 a.m. from Baldwin High School and will conclude at the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center. During this event, intersections along the parade route will also be closed to traffic. However, the eastern part of the intersection at Kaʻahumanu Avenue, Kahului Beach Road, and Kāne Street will remain open for vehicles. The closure specifically affects eastbound and westbound lanes on Kaʻahumanu Avenue near the mall.

Once the parade passes through each intersection, road closures are expected to be lifted promptly. Motorists and riders of motorcycles or scooters are advised to consider alternative routes such as Lower Main Street and Kahului Beach Road during this time and follow all traffic controls.

Further details about the event can be found on their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/NKCPPH.
