The Hawaii Department of Transportation announced on April 15 that newly added single lanes in both directions on Puʻunēnē Avenue (Route 3500) between West and East Wākea Avenues and Kuihelani Highway (Route 380) will open at 7 a.m. on Thursday, April 16.
The department said the opening will bring noticeable changes for highway users. Residents along the project route are reminded not to park in the new lane, as traffic cones will be removed.
