The Hawaii Department of Transportation announced on Mar. 13 that it will hold a community informational meeting for the Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keāhole Master Plan Update project. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 16 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the West Hawai‘i Civic Center, with a notice to be sent if weather conditions require postponement.

The purpose of the meeting is to present preliminary findings regarding facility requirements and to gather questions and feedback from the public about future improvements at the airport. The master plan serves as a long-term guide for development at Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport.
