Hawaii drivers will pay an average of $4.57 per gallon of regular gasoline this month versus $3.47 last year. This is a 31.7 percent increase equaling $1.10 per gallon.
Of the five Hawaii metropolitan areas analyzed, drivers in Honolulu faced the largest price hike at the pump in the last year of $46.41. Hilo was spared the worst pain, with the price of gas rising $37.75 from March 2021 to March 2022.
